Trustees
The Trustees consists of representatives of the City of Hamilton, GFL Environmental and residents in the community of Upper Stoney Creek. Trustees are those individuals responsible for the administration of the Trust.
The Trustees include:

How are Trustees selected?
Advertisements were placed in local newspapers requesting applications by the individuals wishing to become a Trustee. The Trustees were then selected from among those applicants who satisfied the criteria in the Trust Indenture (Established in 1997). The Trust Indenture provides that at all times no less than three trustees shall be representative of the community of Upper Stoney Creek, one trustee shall be a representative nominated by GFL Environmental and one trustee shall be the Mayor of Hamilton or his designate.
Criteria for Trustee:
Must be a resident of upper Stoney Creek living within a 3 km radius of the GFL Stoney Creek Regional Facility. Candidates cannot hold a political office while serving on the Heritage Green Community Trust.
